Jerom Fischer Filmmaker

This has to be one of the most humbling projects I've ever worked on. In 2021 I was asked to come up with a concept to visualise a 70-minute long classical concert, played by the world renowned Metropole Orchestra. They would play 20 songs written for my absolute favourite theme park: De Efteling. Every song has a story behind it and usually an amazing ride in the park.

I chose to create a world of shadows and silhouettes in order to create recognition but also room for the audience's personal memories. After 5 huge sold out concerts I can honestly say it has been an amazing succes.

In this project I had the honour of working together with two amazing artists: Jason van Domburg (A Day Off) who was by my side during the entire proces and is an amazing production designer, and Annemarieke Kloosterhof, who worked from London and illustrated tons of silhouettes and storyboards for us to work with.

I would also like to thank everyone from Cinema in Concert, The Efteling and The Metropole Orchestra for all the trust they gave us during this project.

It was truly a dream come true.
